Now, see what happens when they become the cubes!

New downloadable content for the worldwide phenomenon of a video game known as Minecraft has dropped, this time themed around our favorite robots in disguise. Now, the Autoblocks can wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticubes.

Okay, I made those names up. Anyway, see how it looks for yourself:

The description from the official Minecraft website says the following about the pack:

Autobots, get ready to roll out! The Transformers DLC by Syclone Studios and Hasbro has swerved into Minecraft with a story-driven adventure that will take you on an adrenaline-fueled ride between Earth and Cybertron. Your mission? Only the small task of saving humanity! Claim your free Character Creator item: the Transformers Hoodie from the Dressing Room, then strap in and let’s defeat some Decepticons.

And from the Minecraft Marketplace, where you can purchase the DLC pack:

There is more than meets the eye in this epic Transformers Adventure Map! Play as fan-favorite Autobots like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as you work to stop familiar foes like Megatron and Starscream. Take your battles to the next level with a variety of blocky blasters and hop into co-op multiplayer to take on the fight for freedom with friends. Autobots, roll out!

Want to see more? Then here are some screenshots for you:

You have to admit, the original, blockier G1 designs translate pretty nicely into the Minecraft style. But you might be thinking to yourself, “Why does this look so familiar?”

Well, that would be because the game seems to take more than a few cues from a past release, Transformers: Devastation. This is most evident in the use of the Decepticon Ground Soldiers as cannon fodder.

Also worth noting that this was probably easily done because Microsoft, owners of the Xbox brand, recently acquired Activision Blizzard, the publisher of Transformers: Devastation. That means they likely had easy access to the assets and resources from that game, even though the development was handled by PlatinumGames.

Still, it makes you wonder… Did they pull out those old assets just for this? Or is there more to this than meets the okay, no, I’m sorry, I can’t do it. Too easy. I have standards! …apparently.

Anyway, if you’ve already got Minecraft and want to roll out, then you can get it from the Minecraft Marketplace for $8.99 USD (or the rough equivalent in your currency), or the universal Minecraft price of 1,510 Minecoins.

Watch Takara Tomy’s Tomo Tatsumi Totally Transform Studio Series ’86 Optimus Prime at SDCC https://www.allspark.com/watch-takara-tomys-tomo-tatsumi-totally-transform-studio-series-86-optimus-prime-at-sdcc/ Mon, 29 Jul 2024 05:51:21 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=12128 “One shall stand, one shall convert.”

We were never quite sure what Optimus Prime meant when he uttered those fateful words all those years ago during the Battle of Autobot City, but now we finally know.

Okay, so he didn’t say that, exactly, but it more or less applies to this Hasbro Pulse video from the 2024 San Diego Comic Con, as Hasbro Product Designer Evan talked with Takara Tomy Transformers designer Tomo Tatsumi as the latter demonstrated how to transform the figure he helped create. Check it out:

And in case you missed it, we’ve already had a good look at several product shots and a little behind-the-scenes action.

So, are those 40 steps you’re willing to take when you get your hands on this prime Prime? Or will Earthrise continue to reign supreme on your toy shelf? Tell us all about it in the “Studio Series discussion” thread in our forums!

Table Read of Transformers Episode “More Than Meets The Eye” Part 1 Coming to Hasbro Pulse https://www.allspark.com/table-read-of-transformers-episode-more-than-meets-the-eye-part-1-coming-to-hasbro-pulse/ Sat, 22 Jun 2024 00:33:54 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=11825 Just when we thought this whole thing was over, we find out… it never ends.

But maybe this will be close enough for a while?

As reported previously, Hasbro Pulse magnanimously brought the four original Transformers episodes they removed from their YouTube channel back, around a month after their short-lived 40th anniversary theatrical run was completed. There was hope that when they brought back the first episode, which saw a table reading redub as part of the theatrical event, that said table reading would be a part of it.

Alas, it was not to be.

That is, until now! Or rather, until soon! About a week from when this post goes live, anyway.

Here, have a trailer:

Transformers Generation 1 S01 E01: Table Read! With special guests: Arif S. Kinchen & Frank Todaro

Transformers fans prepare yourselves…

Our 40th Anniversary celebration continues with the release of the Transformers Generation 1 Season 1 Episode 1: Table Read on June 28th 12 noon ET/9am PT!!!

We can’t wait to bring our big screen celebration to the Pulse Channel with the release of the full Transformers Generation 1 Season 1 Episode 1: Table Read, featuring the voices of Arif S. Kinchen, Frank Todaro, Peter Cullen, Frank Welker and many more!

But that’s not all! Arif S. Kinchen (Jazz) and Frank Todaro (Starscream, Wheeljack, Reflector and Sparkplug) will be joining us live to chat with you during the screening!

The screening starts at 12 noon ET/9am PT, but Arif and Frank will be joining us from 11:30 ET/8:30am PT so you, the fans, have plenty of time to chat!

Don’t forget to turn your notifications on, this is one you don’t want to miss!!!

If you’re game to check it out when it goes live and participate in the chatroom fun, then you’ll want to go here at the time of the event.

In the meantime (or after it goes live, your choice), if you’d like to talk to others about the best makeover this episode has had since Generation 2, then head over to the “G1 Episodes Available on YouTube! Again! (And Again!)” thread in our forums!

Hasbro Pulse Lights Our Darkest Hour by Returning Episodes They Removed https://www.allspark.com/hasbro-pulse-lights-our-darkest-hour-by-returning-episodes-they-removed/ Tue, 11 Jun 2024 05:13:02 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=11710 What a roller coaster the past few months have been. But at long last, we appear to be nearing the end of this saga.

It all began back in March, when some eagle-eyed fans noticed that the first four episodes had been removed from (well, set to “Private”) the official Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel. What could this mean? Was this going to be the beginning of more takedowns of archived Transformers episodes, or even episodes from other Hasbro properties?

We reached out to Hasbro themselves to see if they could provide an answer. That went about as well as you’d expect.

Then in April, it was revealed that the same four episodes that had been removed would be shown in cinemas! Well, some cinemas. Depending on how lucky you were. And for three non-consecutive days in May, no less!

When the time finally came, fans ventured forth to take in this new experience, and… well, it was an experience.

At the very least, the redubbed first episode went over well. Well enough to leave some wondering why they didn’t just redo the other two parts of “More Than Meets The Eye,” if not all four episodes being shown.

Then, just as quickly as it came — well, quicker, really — it was gone. Over. Finished.

Yes, I’m invoking Furmanisms when talking about the cartoon, and you can’t — won’t — stop me.

As I was saying, the 40th anniversary experience came and went, and the episodes that Hasbro opted to remove from YouTube remained gone from the platform.

But now, hope shines anew!

Our heroes at Hasbro Pulse put out this official announcement, stating that yes, True Believers, it’s really happening: Hasbro Pulse is restoring the episodes they removed from their YouTube channel for three and a half months back to the YouTube channel from which they were originally removed!

It all happens on Friday, June 14th at 12pm EST, and you can be a part of it!

“But,” we know you’re asking, “will the newly redubbed live voice reading version of the first episode be included this time?”

We don’t know! They haven’t really said here one way or the other.

If you’re ready to give Hasbro Pulse the heroes’ welcome they so richly deserve, then head on over to the “G1 Episodes in Select Theaters in May” thread (because why not? It’s close enough) in our forums to plan the ticker-tape parade in their honor. (I get to drive the float.)

GameSpark News: Rita Rewinds Power Rangers, Mo’ Joe, and Transformers: Deactivated? https://www.allspark.com/gamespark-news-rita-rewinds-power-rangers-mo-joe-and-transformers-deactivated/ Mon, 10 Jun 2024 04:58:21 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=11695 With the 2024 iteration of Summer Game Fest happening over the last several days, there’s been a little bit of news and a rumor surrounding the video game versions of some of our favorite Hasbro properties.

Starting things off with a bang — or more like a clap of thunder — is the announcement of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, a retro-styled beat ’em up very much in the vein of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, which is apparently the style of this time:

The plot is a touch on the confusing side: Did you happen to watch Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always? If so, then this is apparently if Robo-Rita’s plan worked, as she goes to the past to team up with her non-robotic self to vanquish the Rangers through time travel tomfoolery.

According to the official website, it’s “all-new adventure with an original storyline that both respects and remixes Power Rangers lore with scenarios and gameplay that will be both familiar and new to MMPR fans. Players will brawl, blast, fight, and drive through a constantly shifting mix of classic game genres and fan-favorite moments from the series.

Here’s the details from the Steam page (where you can wish list it now):

In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, the team faces off against a robotic reincarnation of the Power Rangers’ long-time nemesis. Robo-Rita has conjured a portal to send herself back in time so she can finally vanquish the Power Rangers by forming an alliance with her younger self. Working together, Robo-Rita and Rita Repulsa rewind, rewrite, and remix the past in an attempt to stop the very formation of the Power Rangers, altering the course of history.

Will the two Ritas and their army of monstrous enemies from across the MMPR timeline finally succeed in destroying the Power Rangers? Or will these teenagers with attitude learn to work together and counter this catastrophic chronological collaboration?

Players will be able to experience the origins of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers again – for the first time! The past will never be the same…

FEATURES

  • Classic 90’s look and feel with hand-drawn pixel art
  • Fan-favorite enemies pulled from different seasons of the hit tv show
  • Events and episodes that players remember from the show have been remixed
  • Action-packed, 2-D brawler gameplay with arcade-style shooting and driving sequences
  • Pilot all of the original Dinozords
  • Jump into the cockpit of the legendary Megazord and take down gigantic bosses
  • Offline and Online support for up to 5 players
  • And lots more!

The game is coming “before the end of 2024” to PC and “multiple consoles,” though just which consoles will strike Morphin Time has yet to be revealed. Probably Xbox One/Series X|S, PlayStation 4/5, and Nintendo Switch, but hey, it doesn’t always work out that way. We’ll see in due time.

Next up, we have a new trailer for G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra:

There isn’t really much more to say about this one that hasn’t already been said in our previous two articles, at least that I’ve been able to find, though there is a demo available now on Steam.

Finally, we have a rumor that’s sure to disappoint.

Or excite.

It really depends on your feelings towards Transformers: Reactivate, a 1-4 player action game which has, to be quite frank, had a rather quiet and seemingly disjointed development. And toys that have been released well before we got to see much of anything resembling in-game footage. Dipping back into the tag for the game, the last big news was that it would be a no-show at The Game Awards last December, with most previous stories being about the aforementioned figure releases, as well as the announce trailer from the prior Game Awards.

It’s that last one that’s raising a few eyebrows, as people have been noticing that the day before Summer Game Fest, the official social media accounts have taken to removing tweets and videos of the announcement trailer, save for one YouTube Short:

The trailer still remains on YouTube, but is now unlisted (though their Twitter missed a link, as it so happens).

It could be nothing, but between this and the project’s “tumultuous” seven-year development cycle, some fans are worried that work on the game might have been restarted, or worse, cancelled.

In a video from Toy Reel (via Seibertron.com) which premiered on May 23rd, a Hasbro Australia representative stated “It is highly anticipated and I know that there’s a lot coming out from the the fans [who] are waiting for this to come out and be released, but hopefully in 2025 we’ll have something more to share.” However, as unfortunate as it is, things can really turn on a dime in this industry.

Hopefully, whatever is going on isn’t as bad as any of that, though.

Wanna talk about any of this with your fellow fans? Well then, have we got some threads for you in our forums! We have a Power Rangers General Discussion Thread, the good ol’ G.I. Joe thread, and of course, the Transformers: Reactivate (console MMO) thread. Choose your favorite, or collect post in them all!

Is the Transformers 40th Anniversary Event Worth Your Hard-Earned Shanix? https://www.allspark.com/is-the-transformers-40th-anniversary-event-worth-your-hard-earned-shanix/ Fri, 17 May 2024 03:11:40 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=11647 Premiering in theaters around the world on Wednesday, May 15th, the Transformers 40th Anniversary Event is slated to have showings for just two more days in the near future: Saturday, May 18th, and Sunday, May 19th. Check your local listings, times and availability may vary.

Rather than a reshowing of the original 1986 feature film, Hasbro has instead elected to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their beloved franchise by going all the way back to the beginning. Back… further back… wait, are you grabbing a copy of Marvel’s The Transformers #1? Okay, while accurate to the time of year, that’s too far back. Push it up a bit. Yeah, there we go.

Ahem. Rather than reshowing the original movie, they’re reshowing the first four episodes of the original smash-hit syndicated cartoon television show.

Something about that ring a bell? Yep, those are the same four episodes they pulled from their YouTube channel back around March or so, but with some bells and whistles, or at least some variety of party favors and noisemakers added.

So, how is it? Here’s Internet Personality and fellow Torontonian Vangelus with his debriefing of the event he attended:

This pretty much corroborates what Allspark forum member Sabrblade had to say:

Overall, the atmosphere of the room was… formal. I had originally wanted to get there early so I could hang out and chat with other fans before it started, but IRL stuff kept me from getting there any sooner than about five-to-ten minutes before it started. When I got there, the room was real quiet as the typical pre-trailer ads were playing, with no one talking to each other and everyone keeping to themselves. The guy sitting to my right even moved over one seat during the first episode. The only people in the room who seemed to be having any fun enjoying themselves were a small group sitting toward the middle-right of the room (I was up in the back row), who could be heard chuckling at some of the zanier points in the episodes, and one of them made a “Ha! Superhuman Spike!” joke when Spike punched Rumble in the first ep. But other than them, the room was fill with dead silence from everyone else. And when it was over, we all got up from our seats to leave and nobody said a single word to anybody in the room. Only a few folks said they had fun to some of the ushers standing outside the theater room waiting to come in and clean up, but the total vibe of the room was really introverted and unfriendly, very much the opposite of how TF fans act when at conventions, in my experience. It felt less like a fan event and more like a formal opera experience where nearly everyone is on their best behavior and really stiff.

The redubbed first episode of “More Than Meets The Eye” sounds like it’s not to be missed, and yet, maybe not worth the price of admission, especially as the revitalized episode seems to leave the rest of the apparently Rhino-quality episode presentation feeling a little lackluster for the expected experience by comparison.

If you do decide to go, however, and you’re into this sort of thing, be sure to grab the Transformers 40th Anniversary Event popcorn bucket and cup combo (especially since they’re reportedly going for $50 on eBay right now)!

I’d consider going for the cup alone, but it would seem that we don’t have those in Canada.

You can also get them, along with other neat Transformers merch, online at the Cinemark Shop for $12.99.

Also, that’s for the U.S. only, too. Bah.

Anyway, have you checked the Transformers 40th Anniversary Event out for yourself already? Were you even planning to? Are you still planning to, or planning to go again? Or have these testimonials warded you off, and you’re just going to hope they do an online showing of it or something? Tell us all about it and find out what your fellow fans think over in the “G1 Episodes in Select Theaters in May” thread in our forums.

Maximize Your Merch with Rare and Unusual Beast Wars Items from This TFcon Panel https://www.allspark.com/maximize-your-merch-with-rare-and-unusual-beast-wars-items-from-this-tfcon-panel/ Tue, 07 May 2024 04:29:53 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=11582 Collecting Transformers merch is one thing, but Beast Wars is a whole other animal.

Former Transformers Creative Manager Rik Alvarez is back, and this time, he’s not alone! This time, he’s teaming up with Peter Chavez IV to bring you all sorts of weird, wild, and downright wacky stuff from not only the American run of Beast Wars, but Japan’s Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo as well!

In addition to some crazy goods like an inflatable Optimus Primal sword (which apparently has a Socker Bopper-like counterpart shaped like Megatron’s T-Rex head-hand), lots of collector’s coins, crazy covers for Japanese theme song singles, and so much more, there are also some interesting trivia tidbits, like the time there was a contest to transform Randy and Mach Kick that had no winner, Fun Pub’s plans for the Beast Wars II Galvatron mold in their first convention set, and an untold western origin for Lio Convoy.

How many of these do you have? Heck, do you have anything shown here? Did you ever get to try Beast Wars II sausages? We don’t have a thread for it (as of this writing), but you can always start one over in the Transformers Discussion section of our forums, and tell (or even show) us all about it!

Robosen and Hasbro Reveal Flagship Megatron, the First Auto-Converting Decepticon https://www.allspark.com/robosen-and-hasbro-reveal-flagship-megatron-the-first-auto-converting-decepticon/ Fri, 26 Apr 2024 03:24:14 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=11509 During today’s Hasbro Pulse Transformers Fanstream, Hasbro and Robosen Robotics pulled back the curtain on three years’ worth of rigorous research and development to reveal… Megatron, the world’s first auto-converting Decepticon!

Flagship Megatron stands at 21 inches tall, making him a truly terrifying titan of a tyrant, and boasts 118 smart microchips that control 36 high-precision servo motors, allowing the Decepticon leader to perform fluid transformations and actions. As with others in the Robosen Transformers line, you can control his actions using a smart phone app or more than 50 voice commands. And of course, this Megatron talks back, using the voice of none other than the originator of the role, Frank Welker himself. Just for this project, Welker went into the recording booth and didn’t come out until he’d performed more than 270 unique lines and fan-favorite phrases, which “allow users to experience Megatron like never before, and in the most genuine way.”

This version of the character seemingly takes a few cues from incarnations throughout the 2010s, including a stature and alt-mode reminiscent of Combiner Wars Megatron, while sporting highlights from 112(!) LEDs that feel like a callback to the War for Cybertron video games. And that fusion cannon isn’t just for show — he comes with four “tank shell” soft-tipped projectiles that actually fire (plus an Optimus Prime target to practice on). In robot mode, he can wield the included illuminating Energon Sword and Energon Mace, inspired by the weapons wielded by the original Japanese toy and Generation One cartoon, respectively. And he’ll really whip that mace around, too, thanks to a number of points of articulation in the chain, so watch out!

Other accessories include an instruction manual, collectible coin, and charging cable and block.

And for those who want to get a little more touchy-feely with their Emperors of Destruction, there are two touchsense zones. Give them a poke to see how the Voice of Doom reacts — if you dare!

“We have been eagerly waiting to launch the most incredible, high-end Transformers robot available on the market. Our engineers have brought Megatron to life! Through the 50 engaging actions built in -– the original voice of Frank Welker -– to the most amazing converting process we have been able to achieve. Megatron in either tank or robot mode will bring any fan pure joy when they see it for the first time! It’s a beautiful product –- we can’t wait for customers to get theirs!” — Hansen Su, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Robosen

To bring peace to your toy shelf through tyranny will run you $899 USD for a 30-day window upon its pre-sale release, before the price transforms into an even more formidable $1,199. Pre-orders are available at Robosen’s website. And in so doing, you might be one of the random lucky 40 who receive a surprise autographed version of the figure, signed by none other than Frank Welker himself!

Just keep in mind when your order arrives: No one summons Megatron.

Does this reveal make you want to rise up? Will this Megatron be enough to force your Robosen Autobots to retreat? Discuss it at the “ Robosen G1 Megatron” thread in our forums.

Hasbro’s Power Rangers is Go-Going to Playmates in 2025 https://www.allspark.com/hasbros-power-rangers-is-go-going-to-playmates-in-2025/ Mon, 22 Apr 2024 20:02:10 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=11490 With the future of the Power Rangers brand seemingly up in the air, some have speculated that under the umbrella of Hasbro, it is now effectively “dead.”

But wait!

We’ve received word today that the legacy of Power Rangers will live on!

…at Playmates Toys.

Here’s the press release from Hasbro:

For those of you saying “I ain’t reading all that, I’m happy for you though, or sorry that happened,” the gist is that starting next year, Playmates is doing a kid-targeted line based on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (aka “their Generation One that no one can let go of”) all across the world, save for Asia. This includes “action figures, blasters, plush, role play, vehicles and accessories.”

This doesn’t mean that The House the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Built owns the brand, though. Hasbro still has that plum sitting comfortably in their pocket, and will continue to reap the rewards of licensing things like “publishing, fashion and footwear, promotions and more.” It sounds like they still have plans to release stuff through Hasbro Pulse, too, and will feature it at big industry events like San Diego Comic Con.

So yeah, “Large Toy Company Hires Smaller Toy Company to Make Their Toys for Them” pretty much seems to sum up the current direction of things. But then, Hasbro’s been subletting their brands out to companies like Super7 and McFarlane for years now, so in a sense, this isn’t anything new.

A couple of other notes of no real consequence:

  • Yes, I know that Playmates doesn’t own the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand the way Hasbro now owns Power Rangers, but if you can think of a more synonymous brand to use for a header image, I’d like to hear it.
  • Yes, I came really close to using the team-up image from the Power Rangers in Space episode “Shell Shocked,” but figured that after more than 25 years — and with Mighty Morphin being the particular call-out of the press release, the more contemporary team-up was the way to go.

Sources: Hasbro, via TOYCOLLECTR and Pixel Dan.

Think this news is morphenomenal? Or just further evidence to the running notion that the Power Rangers brand is “dead”? Discuss it at the “Power Rangers General Discussion Thread” in our forums.

Wallop ‘n Tarn-nation: Recap of Hasbro Pulse’s Transformers 40th Anniversary Fanstream for 4/28/24 https://www.allspark.com/wallop-n-tarn-nation-recap-of-hasbro-pulses-transformers-40th-anniversary-fanstream-for-4-28-24/ Fri, 29 Mar 2024 05:38:05 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=11255 It’s Thursday, which means that Hasbro has brought to us another Fanstream celebration of the 40th anniversary of Transformers. And while some of today’s reveals got leaked a little early, at least now we can provide you with a clearer look and more details, plus a thing or two that we haven’t already seen here yet.

If you haven’t caught it yet, here’s the video:

But if you prefer something a little more static, then it should come as no shock that yes, we’ve got you covered.

First up, they revealed the best way to celebrate anything: With currency!

Well, maybe not legal tender, strictly speaking, but a coin nonetheless:

This Transformers Coin is embossed on both sides. Limited to only 9,995 worldwide and individually numbered, this coin is 38mm in diameter and supplied within a protective acrylic cup within its display pack. The re-sealable packaging that the Coin comes in is made in the UK from recycled material and is also fully recyclable.

These went on sale on the Hasbro Pulse website for $14.99 USD each with a limit of three per customer, which we’re sure absolutely stopped speculators and scalpers from buying up massive quantities, and that their entire now sold-out stock has gone to legitimate fans.

What’s the difference between a coin and a medallion? We don’t know, but if faction insignias are more your bag, then this set brings you two of them!

Choose your side! Are you an Autobot or a Decepticon? Both medallions depict the iconic logos of each faction. This set of 2 heavily embossed Medallions are supplied with a display stand for each within the presentation box. The set is individually numbered and limited to only 5,000 Worldwide.

This even more limited run is even more expensive, running you $39.99 USD for the pair on Hasbro Pulse. Or at least it would, if their allotment of the 5,000 worldwide wasn’t sold out faster than you can flip a coin/medallion.

Don’t worry, we’re sure to have something here that hasn’t sold out yet… ah! Perfect! I don’t think this is even available to order yet:

Originally released only on vinyl in 2018, they are re-releasing this album containing music from the original Generation One version of the Transformers cartoon. They say it has music from seasons 1 through 3, but considering season 4 was only three episodes long and reused music from the previous seasons, I think we’re allowed to count it. Heck, we might even be able to count season 5 (minus the movie), too!

This album touts the original theme song (always preferred the season 3 version, personally, not counting Lion’s rendition) and 45 minutes’ worth of music from the original composers. What’s more, they were remastered here by one of the original composers, the late, great Rob Walsh and Sony Music. The two-disc album also contains two bonus tracks — an unreleased track and a remix of the theme — totalling 42 overall.

The album will be available in July, with copies available at San Diego Comic-Con.

You can check out a preview of the remixed theme and see artist Matt Ferguson create art for the covers and inserts, starting at 22:10 in the video above, and said remix is available today across Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. They say that this is the first time they’ve made official Transformers music available digitally, though it’s a little unclear whether they mean just this one remix, or the whole album. (Hopefully the whole album, because not all of us are equipped to play vinyl.)

Moving right along, it’s Transformers Collaborative‘s latest worst kept secret, Party Wallop, who transforms into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ ’80s version of the Turtle Van (or “Party Wagon,” if you must, even though it was never called that in the show).

The worlds of Transformers robots and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collide with the Transformers x TMNT Party Wallop mash-up pack! The iconic Party Wagon from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon is now a Transformers robot! This 7-inch (17.5 cm) figure converts from robot mode to cartoon-inspired Party Wagon alt mode and features series-accurate deco and details from the classic 1987 cartoon. This pack comes with cartoon-inspired accessories including ninja swords, bo staff, nunchucks, and ninja sai to gear up the turtle brothers. It also includes 4 swappable heads and a rotating belt buckle to customize the robot as either a Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, or Raphael inspired action figure. Transformers robots have always been — More Than Meets the Eye — but now, through the Transformers Collaborative, fans can experience these larger-than-life characters as they team-up, mash-up, and meet up with other characters, teams, and people who share this same special quality.

Includes Transformers figure, 12 accessories, and instructions.

MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE: Transformers robots have always been — More Than Meets the Eye — and now fans can experience Transformers characters as they mash-up with iconic characters who share this same quality

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES X TRANSFORMERS COLLABORATIVE: Get the party started with this van that’s the main vehicle for the crime-fighting turtle brothers

CONVERTS FROM VEHICLE TO ROBOT: Party Wallop 7-inch (17.5 cm) figure converts between party wagon mode and robot mode in 20 steps. Inspired by the party wagon as seen in the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon

CHOOSE YOUR NINJA TURTLE: Convert to robot mode and attach 1 of 4 different heads to create a Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, or Raphael inspired figure

AWESOME ACCESSORIES: Includes 2 ninja swords, bo staff, 2 nunchucks, 2 ninja sai, rotating belt buckle, and 4 swappable heads that attach in robot mode

That’s right — with this one figure, you can make up to five separate characters! And at $49.99 USD over on Hasbro Pulse (where — surprise — they aren’t sold out), this is where we watch our wallets and bank accounts die, Raphael. Cowabummer!

Incidentally, I think the video has some stills that weren’t featured on Hasbro Pulse, so check it out to see even more of what it’s capable of.

That’s not all from the Collaborative line, though! With Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire heating up theaters, they’re reissuing their first collaboration, Ectotron!

Discover how these worlds collide in this Transformers-Ghostbusters mash-up pack! The iconic Ecto-1 Cadillac from the 1984 Ghostbusters movie is now a Transformers robot — a converting Paranormal Investigator, called Ectotron! This Ectotron figure comes with his own Proton Pack accessory and a Slimer accessory, and converts between Ecto-1 and robot modes in 22 steps.

Includes: Ectotron figure, Slimer figure, 2 accessories, and instructions.

On Hasbro Pulse, the price is $49.99, but it turns out they’re sold out, anyway. It ships around September 1st, anyway, so who knows? You might not even care by then. Or maybe it’s perfectly timed for the Blu-ray release of Frozen Empire, we don’t know. But if you nab one at retail, you can pair it up with Party Wallop so the two teams can meet up for a third time! (Yes, it’s already happened twice.)

Up next is a little old business. Revealed in their 40th anniversary press release was Transformers Generations Comic Edition Shockwave:

Comic book Transformers bots are stepping off the page and onto collectors’ shelves with Transformers Comic Edition Shockwave! Ruled by logic, if it is more logical for Shockwave to override Megatron and seize command of the Decepticons, he will take that chance. This Shockwave figure features comic-accurate deco and details, celebrating 40 years since the first Transformers comics were issued in 1984. The action figure converts from robot to Cybertronian spaceship mode and comes with the head of Optimus Prime piece that can be placed on the included display stand (display stand assembly required).

Includes figure, head of Optimus Prime, display stand, and instructions.

COMIC EDITION SHOCKWAVE: Shockwave is leaping out of the comic panels and into your collection! This 7-inch (17.5 cm) Shockwave action figure is inspired by the original The Transformers comic book series

COMIC-ACCURATE DECO: With comic-accurate deco and black line hatching details, this Transformers figure looks like it came out of a comic book, celebrating 40 years since Transformers robots made their comic debut

CLASSIC ALT MODE: Transformers Shockwave figure converts from robot to Cybertronian spaceship mode in 15 steps

HEAD OF OPTIMUS PRIME: This comic-inspired figure comes with the head of Optimus Prime piece that can be placed on the included display stand (display stand assembly required)

ARTICULATED FOR POSING AND DISPLAY: Transformers figures feature articulated heads, arms, and legs for action poses

GIFT TRANSFORMERS COLLECTIBLES: This Comic Edition Shockwave action figure makes a great collectible figure gift for any Transformers fan

Not only does this comic-colored Shockwave look like he stepped right off the printed page, but his package recreates the iconic “All Are Dead” cover from the fifth issue of Marvel’s 4-issue limited series. (Yes, I know what I said. All of it.)

And for those who view the world through a cruel purple lens, you can optionally give the Optimus Prime head to your kid and tell them that if they’re good, they might get another piece of Optimus Prime the next time a birthday or holiday rolls around! (Hey, why should those of us who grew up with Transformers in the ’80s have all the Optimus-induced mental scarring?)

Anyway, as of this writing, pre-orders are still a go over on Hasbro Pulse for $39.99 USD a pop. Wanting to get one is only logical, after all.

Finally, we come to the Transformers Legacy United Versus Multipack. Yeah, maybe you saw the leaked images that looked like they came from a Target circular that had been stepped on the other day, but now we’ve got all those pics — and more — in high-res, bay-bee!

This 4-pack is exclusive to Target and Hasbro Pul– wait a second… scratch that, Hasbro Pulse‘s stock has flatlined, so it’s basically just a Target exclusive now. HP had it for $79.99 USD, so that’s probably what you can expect to spend on it there.

Finally, there are a few teases for upcoming official announcements (even though some of these have leaked or otherwise gotten out there already):

Coming through the space bridge are Deluxe Concept Art Sunstreaker from the Transformers: Bumblebee movie (“official reveal soon”), Deluxe Studio Series War for Cybertron Sideswipe, Voyager Transformers: Bumblebee Studio Series Shockwave, and last (but not least), Leader class Swoop, presumably of the Studio Series ’86 series.

And that’s everything! Want to talk about it? You can discuss Party Wallop and Ectotron in our Transformers Collaborative thread (Transformers X TMNT – Party Wallop) thread, and the Legacy United 4-pack and Comic Shockwave in the Transformers Legacy toyline threads in our forums.
